Flooding in the Southern Adirondacks & Northern Hudson Valley – GSL NY 518

Near Record Flooding at Great Sacandaga Lake
No beach anytime soon, the woods is a pond now
This is why we build retainer walls
For high views at high water
All you see I walked on Easter Sunday
3 weeks ago this was dry land
Lake water 30 feet deep past the rock wall
Driftwood for days
Border trees in waist deep water
Sacandaga & Hudson Rivers almost road level at Luzerne
Highest of the high views
Couple weeks ago see the land…
This is all underwater even the bushes
This entire road underwater
All you see underwater
I walked this all Easter Sunday and it’s currently underwater.

Erie Canal, Mohawk River & Hudson River flooded, epic failures if more rain comes soon. The locks are already open….

***Great Sacandaga Lake Reservoir was built to prevent Albany/Schenectady/Troy flooding in the 1920’s.
