Tulip Logo – Mario Puzo’s The Godfather

Not only does the Tulip represent my love for parks, nature & photography, but it is a symbol of my city, my state, my homeland, and a reminder of my Dutch heritage and how important the Dutch were in the history & culture of America!

How fitting for me to rediscover the Tulip symbol on the back cover of my favorite novel of all time, Mario Puzo’s The Godfather! We all know that Coppola & Puzzo used symbolism heavily in The Godfather Saga, especially the color orange and oranges appearing as a precursor to death. I don’t recall any use of the Tulip imagery in the movie or the book however, maybe Puzo just loved the symbol!
